2) Eligibility and accounts

• You must be 18 years or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

3) Subscriptions, trials, and payments

Some features require a paid subscription or a one-time/lifetime purchase (where offered). Pricing and plan details are shown in the app at the point of purchase.

• Billing: web payments are processed by Stripe, and iOS in-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit/App Store services. We do not store full card details.
• Renewals: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date (where applicable).
• Trials: if you start a free trial, you may be converted to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand (as described in the app).
• Refunds: unless required by applicable law, fees are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us.

4) The Service and content

LANU provides curated suggestions and information about family-friendly venues, events, and related services. Information may come from third parties and user submissions. While we aim for accuracy and quality, we do not guarantee that listings, prices, availability, or details are always correct or up to date.

5) Safety and personal responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether an activity, venue, route, or event is suitable for you and your family. Always follow venue rules, local laws, and safety guidance. Verify critical details directly with the venue or organiser.

6) User submissions and acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
• Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, infringing, or violates privacy rights.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service or its security.
• Misrepresent your identity or submit false reviews or misleading venue information.

7) Your content and licence

If you submit content (reviews, submissions, images, comments), you retain ownership of your content. You grant LANU a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting), publish, and display your content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You confirm you have the rights to submit the content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

8) Third-party services

The Service may integrate with third-party services such as:

• Stripe (payments and subscriptions)
• Apple StoreKit / App Store services (iOS in-app purchases and subscription management)
• PostHog (analytics to improve the Service)
• Google Gemini or similar AI providers (AI-assisted planning features)
• Mapping/location providers (for distance/travel-time features)
• Notification, hosting, email, error monitoring, and media storage providers

Those services have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.

9) Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, and original content created by LANU, is owned by LANU or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reuse it except as permitted by law or with our written permission.

10) Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11) Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LANU will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation where applicable).

13) Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence.
